Summary:
According to Sheryl Sandberg’s speech, “Why we have too few women leaders”. Women are lucky now and they live better than before. Although they have a relay problem that woman are not making it to the top, any where in the world. Unfortunately the number of women who have c level job and bored seats does go to the wrong direction. Also, the women who are in the top around the world only 30 percent. The speaker wants to find, fix, and make a different in women life. She also talks about keeping the women in workforce. She said that if the women want stay in workforce they should follow these massages; there are three steps, the fist one is set in the table, the second is make your partner a real partner and the last is do not leave before you leave. She also said that women do not negotiate for themselves in workforce, the study in the last tow years of people entering the workface out of college showed that 57 percent of men entering are negotiating their first salary, but the women are only seven present. Also, men attribute their success to themselves, but the women are attributing it to other factors. When ask the men why they did a good job, they will say I am awesome. But if we ask women why they did a good job, they will say some one helps them and they got lucky. Finally, the future generation can do better.

Sheryl Sandberg’s title is very serious. It is make the person think a lot about the women around the world. I really do not know what we can do to make the women more do better in their life. I agree that women can do several things better than men but they should work hard to be one of the most important part in the world. Also, I think women should have places in the world, for example why women do not play in the world cup?. I think the men who mad the women less active in the world. Almost every country in the world has a king or prime minster only man, but there is nothing for the women, so we have to think why there is no king women like men ?. Still the answer is so hard. But the most important things that we should try to work hard to make the women the most important part in our life.

It is very difficult for women to be in the leadership. In my opinion, I do not think we are the weak group. In fact, we can do anything as men can, but we must work harder than them to meet the same level, especially in workplace. For example, some career women are married, so they need to keep balance between their personal life and career life. They usually spend more time on management department and taking care of families after work; however, it is always someone takes the place of them if they are pregnant or nursing baby at home. Everything has already changed when they go back to work. There are still many successful career women all over the world, such as Indra Nooyi who is the CEO of PepsiCo, Drew Faust the president of Harvard, they try their best every time, and they admit that they do try harder than men. In addition, there is women world cup which holds every four year, but just not popular as the men world cup. I think you should watch 2011 women’s world cup, and it will be held in Germany.(words:190)
Your topic, why many women cannot be a leader in their filed, is interesting to me and as a matter of that, it gave me good advices. I believe even though social atmosphere discourage women to get high position in their workplace, the characteristics of women have a lot to do with the reason few women can be leaders. I read a book “work like men, win like women” (it is written by a Korean author) .her points was very similar with the lecturer’s point. According to her, many working women give it up for getting promotion and miss good chance since they tend to worry about whether they can cover both supporting family and successfully working her position. Furthermore, she reports that many woman and female students tend to emphasize weak points rather than highlight their strong points and consider it as a ritual. However, these attitudes of women have to do with education and social welfare system since still in many culture, educating and taking care of children are considered as women’s job though they are working outside, and females are educated not to reveal themselves in front of others.
