Sheryl Sandberg: Why we have too few women leaders



Summary:   
         According to Sheryl Sandberg’s speech, “Why we have too few women leaders”. Women are lucky now and they live better than before. Although they have a relay problem that woman are not making it to the top, any where in the world. Unfortunately the number of women who have c level job and bored seats does go to the wrong direction. Also, the women who are in the top around the world only 30 percent. The speaker wants to find, fix, and make a different in women life. She also talks about keeping the women in workforce. She said that if the women want stay in workforce they should follow these massages; there are three steps, the fist one is set in the table, the second is make your partner a real partner and the last is do not leave before you leave. She also said that women do not negotiate for themselves in workforce, the study in the last tow years of people entering the workface out of college showed that 57 percent of men entering are negotiating their first salary, but the women are only seven present. Also, men attribute their success to themselves, but the women are attributing it to other factors. When ask the men why they did a good job, they will say I am awesome. But if we ask women why they did a good job, they will say some one helps them and they got lucky. Finally, the future generation can do better.

           Sheryl Sandberg’s title is very serious. It is make the person think a lot about the women around the world. I really do not know what we can do to make the women more do better in their life. I agree that women can do several things better than men but they should work hard to be one of the most important part in the world. Also, I think women should have places in the world, for example why women do not play in the world cup?. I think the men who mad the women less active in the world. Almost every country in the world has a king or prime minster only man, but there is nothing for the women, so we have to think why there is no king women like men ?. Still the answer is so hard. But the most important things that we should try to work hard to make the women the most important part in our life.

Jason Fried: Why work doesn't happen at work



Summary:

          According to Fried's talks, many companies spend a lot of money to offer needs for workers as table, internet and computer to make the office the best place to work. So they expect the workers to come every day to do great work. But the fact is different, when we are talking with other and ask them where they will go to do any work, they will rather to finish it in a coffee shop, library or any places outside the office. Also, other people will chose to finish the work at night or in the morning. The reason is people get distraction at work. He also says that why do we expect people to work well if they been interrupt it all day. Mangers say they do not want their employers to work at home because of the distractions. Also, they often think that the really distractions at work are things like Facebook and YouTube, so they banned these website. In fact the real problems are the manger and meetings. Meeting is the most boring things for the workers and they have to talk about things that they suppose to do it later. Some suggestions to make the office better place to work, manger should pick one day that workers should not speak together, also, change the way of communication from face to face and use email. The last one is if boss has the power for the meeting, he should cancel it he will find everything is fine.

          Jason Fried's speech made me interesting to watch it. Because he is talking about the most important thing in our life, if we do not have a work we cannot live normally, I thought the speaker will talk about the problems in the work in a different way. But he focused in mangers and bosses' distractions, he thinks that they are making the employers confuse if they ask him about what they have finish in the work. I am not sure if his opinion is right or wrong because we have to ask ourselves are we going to work hard without manger or boss. Maybe I disagree with his idea, because every worker should have a leader or boss, the job is like a country and the boss like the prime minster, so the country will have a trouble without prime minster. And in my cause when I was working in newspaper in my country I choose to work in the office than work in any places like home or coffee shop.
